The BIG GIG is a live performance event that takes place at the end of every semester. After months of rehearsal, students from our Cadets, Get Started, Core, and Adult Night Sessions jam out some of their favorite tunes on stage.

WHAT IS THE BIG GIG? The BIG GIG is a live performance event that takes place at the end of every semester. After months of rehearsal, students from our Cadets, Get Started, Core, and Adult Night Sessions jam out some of their favorite tunes on stage.

WHERE AND WHEN IS THE NEXT BIG GIG? The next Gig will be at The Saint from September 24th through the 26th!

ARE THERE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE? The Saint has announced that all attendees and participants must show proof of vaccination or negative results from a Covid-19 test taken within 48 hours. This information will be gathered at the door on the day of the event, so please arrive ahead of time for a quick and easy entry.

I'M IN A BAND... HOW EARLY SHOULD I SHOW UP BEFORE MY SCHEDULED SESSION AT THE BIG GIG? Please show up 45 minutes before your scheduled Session at The Big Gig and check in with our staff at the sign-in table to grab your Performer Pass.

PERFORMER CHECKLIST:

  • Drummers: Warm up off-stage (in green room) on a quiet drum pad, have drumsticks/stick bag in hand (2 pairs of sticks recommended in case you drop one), ear plugs, percussion, and anything else you need ready to go. Look at the drummer's setup before you and make a mental note of what setup changes need to be made (seat height, cymbal heights/angles, snare height, toms). Make your own checklist.
  • Bassists: Warm up off-stage, tune your bass off-stage in advance no more than 5 minutes before, have your guitar, strap, pedal board, picks, ear plugs, and anything else you need ready to go. Make your own checklist.
  • Guitarists: Warm up off-stage, tune your guitar off-stage in advance no more than 5 minutes before, have your guitar, strap, pedal board, capos, picks, ear plugs, and anything else you need ready to go. Make your own checklist.
  • Pianists: Lakehouse keyboard is provided, ear plugs, etc. If you wish to bring your own, let your teacher know. If so, remember to bring your keyboard, power adapter and any cables required for your keyboard. Make your own checklist.
  • Vocalists: Warm up your voice off-stage, have a bottle of water in hand for the stage, ear plugs, etc.
